Hold Me Back
私をくいとめて
Description
Based on WATAYA Risa’s award-winning Japanese novel of the same title, “Hold Me Back” has been dubbed as a hilarious, often insightful visualisation of the inner struggles of working women in modern-day Tokyo and the social reality of pervasive singledom and loneliness among many young people in Japan.
31, single and happy. But what happens when you meet someone that brings out your desires like a shirtless KIMURA Takuya in “Long Vacation”? An offbeat surrealist comedy, Mitusuko (NON) is our protagonist in trouble. Living her best life steered by the inner voice of reason (quite literally a voice named Mr. A), charming Tada (HAYASHI Kento) threatens the stable ecosystem she has honed within. Sound the alarm, ‘cause this inner conflict is about to get nuclear.
